She wants a Vintage Bridal Shower

Next. On. the. List.
Throw a Vintage Themed Bridal Shower

~I can't get enough of these pics, can someone get married NOW so we can do this pronto??!~

Behind the Red Barn Door

The Vintage Style Bridal Shower post, from the blog: Behind The Red Barn Door, inspired us to create our own Vintage Bridal Shower Essentials List:

1. Vintage White Lace Tablecloths, you can find these at your local Thrift shop, trust us the'll have plenty!! (or else call up Grandma, she'll prob have a few stashed away)

2. Mason Jars, so into this trend right now, there are dozens of good uses for them, think flower vases, cocktail glasses, desserts, candles and much more ~ Get creative, whip up some homemade Jam and give them away as Gifts!

3. Flowers Flowers and more Flowers! You'd be amazed how quickly these can brighten up a room and they're so easy to set up! Make a trip up to the foothills and gather as many wild flowers as you can, because they're beautiful and FREE!

4. We love the idea of using Vintage Wood Trays for hors d'oeuvres and Eclectic Vintage Glass Stemware for drinks, its always the little details that add that extra spark! (For a previous Trunk Show we tied dried flowers around the base of champagne glasses and they really did the trick ;))

4. A Record Player, to set that true vintage vibe put on a few of your favorite records, think Etta James, Billy Holiday, super fun girlie music that sets the mood!

6. Stick to Natural Colors when you decorate- browns, greens and creams, make the flowers be the main source of color, that way they will really stand out!

7. And if you can dig it, scrounge up some Vintage Furniture! Old wooden tables and crates,              a mish-mash of different styled chairs, vintage suitcases or that old red wagon.

Thats all for now ladies and gents,

Hello Abrey! This gown is sure to stir up some extra summer heat, our model looks stunning in the soft creamy gold number. the plunging deep-V in both the front and back makes us swoon over this gown!

We love the elegant Carissa gown, the dark purple color would be gorgeous for an evening wedding or rehearsal dinner.

Taylan is beaming from ear to ear in the Taylan Dress. This casual flowy dress has beautiful lace detailing on front blouse and the bottom hem sits shorter in the front and longer in the back.

Summer is only beginning, hopefully you all can find the time between school and work to get the beach, mix up a refreshing cocktail or take a dip in the pool!

For the Hippie Bride: DIY Flower Crown

We love when brides go out on a limb and ditch the big veils by wearing Flower Wreaths and Crowns -we've even seen some brides having their Bridesmaids wear them! We use a variety of head pieces in our photo shoots, and all are handmade in the DOS Studio. Whether you are planning on wearing one on Your Wedding Day or just Playing Hippie Child for the Afternoon we've got you covered!

We chose some medium sized white Daisies, about 8, and kept the stems at around 6 inches long.

You will need a sharp pair of scissors and some floral wire. Choose the thin green wire, that way it will remain easily hidden among the flowers.

If you are using a variety of different flowers or flowers with a hard steam (wont bend easily - roses, etc.) you may want to use a glue gun to further secure all the flowers stay in place.

1. Start with two flowers, lay one stem on top of another and have both flowers facing out in the same direction. The second flower should sit just below (touching) the first flower.
2. Wrap some twine around the steam (about 1 inch below the face of the second flower). Wrap around 2 or three times until firm, then cut off remaining twine.

4. Gradually add the remaining flowers the same way as the previous step, only wrapping the strips of twine around the third and fourth flower so that three stems are wrapped together.

5. Once all the Flowers have been tied together you will need to fasten the crown. Cut two pieces of wire and fold them both in half. Then wrap one around the end of the base of the first flower and one around the base of the last flower.
6. Once this is done you should be able to put the crown on and use the 2 pieces of wire to adjust how big or small you need the crown to be. Wrap, around the back of the head, 3 or four times to hold.

And Ta-da!! you have a beautiful Flower Crown to Dance around in and Enjoy!!!
